In 1858 three Cooper brothers left Elvedon UK as assisted immigrants to Australia. They arrived in Sydney on the Grand Tianon [two brothers] and the David McIver [third brother]. Two of the brothers George William Cooper and Frederick George Cooper eventually settled in the Macleay Valley, George in Frederickton and Frederick at Christmas Creek. The third brother William settled in the Nambucca Valley.
Arrangements are now well underway to hold a “Get Together” to be held in Kempsey between 11 and 13 September 2026.
